“Jesus the Messiah, the anointed one, proclaimed the following mission through the Isaiah passage in Luke 4: 16-19 proclaim the good news to the poor, bind up the broken hearted, proclaim the freedom for the captives, release from darkness the prisoners, and comfort all who mourn.”

The primary mission of the social work ministry is to enhance human well-being and help meet the basic needs of all people, with particular attention to the needs and empowerment of people who are vulnerable, oppressed, and living in poverty” . Jesus’ public ministry was filled with examples of his concern for all people, especially the marginalized in society . He cared about the lepers, the tax collectors, the Samaritan woman, the blind beggar, and the children.

Compassionate love of Christ is made experience through our social service. Facilities are provided for the poor and destitute and aged people who are weak in health and abandoned by society to lead a hopeful life. Family Apostolates, Balabhavans for poor and orphans, Tailoring institutes,Social service centers, Old Age Home, Children’s club, Rehabilitation for the mentally challenged, Mental Rehabilitation centers for women and men, Prison Ministry, Slum ministry, Youth Ministry are the main  social service areas of our Congregation .
